“Mind the Pay Gap: A Legislative Approach to Ending Pay Discrimination in BC” was published in April 2020. This report evaluates the legislative tools available in B.C. to effectively address gender-based pay discrimination. It identifies key elements of policy design that must be considered to ensure the effectiveness of equal pay legislation, and suggests that effectively addressing the pay gap could potentially complement the B.C. government’s poverty reduction strategy in the long-term.
